Say Anything... 1989
I remembered being mildly disappointed when I saw this for the first time - it’s a much quieter movie than its outsized reputation made me expect.
This time though - i noticed how it just gently did everything it does really well, how the actors’ chemistry has a very sweet glow, how this movie more and more focuses on Diane’s internal journey, and how it’s consistently humane in a way that’s extremely rare in an 80s comedy.
Feeling warm about adding a full star rating, and maybe adding this to the comfort watch rotation.

I loved it. I couldn't even process that while watching; as the credits rolled it hit me in waves, scene after scene I'd just watched. I'd been spoiled about several of the major plot points going in - a careless reviewer gave away Yoda's appearance and Rey/Kylo's connection, and a Troll with the username "Snoke&LukeBothDie" did considerably more.
