Now that it got released on prime and I rewatched I just have to say that I love the camera movements of this film. They integrate so good with the choreography if there was a best choreography award they should have given it to wicked dafuq. I love Ariana and Cynthia so much best friendship off screen and on screen this movie is so enotional I loveeeee.

I definitely remember having watched this at one point in my life. I loveee ittt… I mean its not exactly a cinematic masterpiece but it is campy, soooo 2000s and is gaaaay. I love how Rusell becomes an icon and relatable main character. Honestly my only problem is that I didn’t like the ending but thats fine as they were adapting the source material. Some of the progression of the story/dilemma seemed to have a quicker solution that took out some realism to it. But anyway I definitely was giggling and enjoying all of it.

The way Fernanda Torres portrayed the grief of losing your husband but having to keep yourself and your family together was so real and emotional omg Mother. I see why she js running for the Best Actress award at the Academy ngl BEST OF LUCK ☝️☝️. I love the super 8 film transitions they being this world to life. The whole setting this movie takes places in is so immersive like wow is this actually Rio on the 70s or…

This felt like if Midsommar and The Bear had a child lowkey. It gets more and more engaging as the story develops. At first I thought that It would be only about a group of snobs eating on a fancy restaurant but it has so much depth on it.
Ralph Fiennes is so good at creating horror with his sole presence and authority. Nicholas Hoult is such a nerdy boy who loves cuisine he must be protected. Locations are beautiful and the shots really capture this beauty. I want to eat a cheeseburger now too.
