Paying homage to horror classics like Duel and The Hitcher, this isolated road thriller offers more than your typical innocent victim of a psycho. Revealing the misogynistic power and damage that can be inflicted by corrupt authority figures, the film at it's core is an investigation of domestic abuse. Britni Camacho offers a nuanced, praiseworthy performance that builds toward the ultimate climax. Between the blood and powerful messaging, this film will will likely leave a lasting impression on you as it did me.

Cleaner 2025
A paint-by-numbers script makes it hard to invest in this actioner's story line. I knew there was going to be trouble when the CEO was introduced acting like a cartoon a-hole. Plenty of good action sequences but when the characters are made of cardboard, they blow up real good. This is no Die Hard but it's a better alternative to housework. I still give it 3 squeegees.

Novocaine 2025
Enjoyed this trope-filled romp through the machinations of a bank robbery gone wrong. Unbeknownst to the bad guys they are forced to deal with the asst. bank manager, a lovesick schmuck who doesn't feel pain played by Jack Quaid . Co-directors Dan Berk and Robert Olsen weave an impossible comedic, action-filled love story that will leave you laughing and grimacing at the same time.

The Gorge 2025
Sci-Fi meet cute with likeable characters. Fun for awhile but at some point for me the plot fell into the Gorge along with whatever else is down there. Good soundtrack though. Especially liked hearing Spitting Off the Edge of the World by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs ft. Perfume Genius during a nicely choreographed romantic interlude.
