The Menu 2022
Came for the black humor. And *almost* hid my face but was just the right amount of horror to keep me watching. Great asides with the menu format of the film and written “ingredients”. Kind of reminded me of Snowpiercer and The Platform but with wit and glamor. Not a super original message but excellent pacing.

Iconic staircase moment. Best goth-inspired 90s dance number I’ve ever seen. Highlight of the film. Loved it for the weird unexplained props, obscure one-liners (“shit frisbees”) and haircuts. Fave kind of cheese.

Don't Worry Darling 2022
Eye candy and talented actors with stunning hair and makeup and a shockingly contrived plot devoid of the execution of Inception or the captivating mania of Gone Girl. A lesser Truman Show-meets-Matrix with hot sex, but that doesn’t make it any sexier. Alice should’ve woken up earlier…would’ve been way more interesting.
