The story is perfectly paced, going above and beyond with it’s absolutely gorgeous sound track, marvelously written script, animation that makes you feel like there is such a thing as perfection in this world, and have I mentioned the SOUNDTRACK? Isle of Dogs 2018
If you liked Akira, Fantastic Mr. Fox, and any of Akira Kurosawa’s films, you’ll love this. It is a cinematic, creatively packed experience that anyone who loves Japanese culture would love too. The characters are raw, full of life, with every detail seen up close in beautiful stop motion. It is a more monochrome Anderson movie, with less whimsical charm and more dramatic atmosphere, which creates a whole other experience to watch compared to his other films. I could go on and on, or you could go watch it yourself :)
