Fresh 2022
An interesting take on the topic of the how women are viewed and treated under the patriarchy. I do however find it difficult to relate as I live within the liminal space between not being viewed in such a way and not viewing women in that same way. Or atleast that is what I tell myself to avoid the overwhelming guilt that floods my self conscious, I was indoctrinated by men to become a man. How can I claim to really be any different?

It’s difficult to identify where this film was aimed so how could I say it missed?
I mulled over many different thoughts and feelings throughout this but now of them really took root. It felt like a loose scattering of seeds across an open field. But choices were made and that can sometimes be the hardest part.

Horse Girl 2020
What a joy to go into a film having zero expectations.
I’d have to recount my entire existence to even begin to convey what was experienced. All I can say is every now and then a movie holds a mirror to the audience and is able to show them a piece of themselves, this is reminiscent of that. But if you were to stand between two mirrors in a closed endless loop and focused your attention to the liminal space between the reflections.
Definitely worth a shot and a second viewing.

Dune: Part Two 2024
From time to time I’ll watch a movie with the sound turned off to see the true nature of the visual story taking place.
Although the overall sound design in this particular movie is one of my favorites so is just watching the story unfold without it. It is a pleasant experience to watch familiar things in different contexts.
