The peak of ol' webhead. A teen film that just happens to involve a superhero. Some great reveals. The only detracting element in Iron Man. We don't need his quips and cockiness to "prop" up Spidey, but the gesturing toward Stark as a mentor struck some students as a parallel to Batman and Robin. I agree. In that realm, it works. As a lead in to yet another MCU team-up - not so much. Like Peter says, it's best just to be a "friendly neighborhood Spider-man." That's how it should be. High marks for NYC and the Ramones on the closing credits.

Spider-Man 2002
A fun watch, especially within the context of the deluge superhero films that would follow. Students divulged that Sir Willem Dafoe (yes, I refer to him as "Sir" as he should be knighted) haunted them as children. That alone makes it worth watching. It's funny people thought the third entry was too 'goofy' - we literally have people turning to skeletons to this - honest to goodness skeletons!
