This movie for me had a genre crisis. It was a bit too far fetched towards the end as far as story goes, and that really took me out of it. Its a hilarious film up until that point, but i did crave slightly more depth from the characters rather than the slapstick elements that were around every corner of one of the protagonist’s backstory.

Strange Darling 2023
This movie came out of nowhere!! I love the lead actress, Im a huge fan of her on fall of the house of usher and she once again delivered an excellent performance in this. I dont want to spoil the story but it did a great job of diverting expectations and keeping me on the edge of my seat. Non-linear structure was done super well and the aesthetic was stunning. Lots of beautiful ethereally lit forest shots that honestly haunt my dreams.
