  my dad walked out halfway and my mom sobbed throughout the entirety of it, so I think my movie picking privileges have been revoked. all that this movie was missing was “fourth of july” by sufjan stevens after the gut wrenching ice skating symbolism. commentary aside, there’s something about andrew garfield’s nervous timers, cute glasses, and lovely communication skills that i adore. same goes for florence pugh’s botched bangs and smudgy eyeliner. they’re just so human and well written that you can’t help but get emotional even during the most uplifting scenes

  happy valentine’s day my little freaks!!! the ending was actually very romantic and i think this will marinate on my mind for a little longer so i will have to rewatch!

  the scene where thomas holds ellen and tells her he’s not leaving her? yeah. it’s either a man like thomas or absolutely nothing at all. it’s so painful hearing discourse where count orlok is portrayed to be this yearning romantic while he harasses ellen, meanwhile thomas is RIGHT THERE. he has fought off death time and time again just to support his wife even in spite of her illness. rip thomas, you would’ve loved hozier
