The Electric State 2025
How you turn a beautify atmospheric eerie sci fi book into a generic Hollywood-fodder adventure movie is beyond me. You could have made something great here with your 320 mil budget, but instead you gave us surface level characters and a boring villain in a generic story.
At best this movie will become something kids will enjoy in their childhood, and that's about it. And yeah yeah of course the cgi is good.
Go and read the book, it is a VASTLY better experience.Translated from by -
Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves 2023
Solid fun movie. I've never played dungeons and dragons so I wasn't watching it to see how many references they squeezed in. A visually nice looking movie, I liked the use of practical effects with CGI. most of the characters felt a bit surface level, besides the main dude who I cant remember the name of.

A Real Pain 2024
The film is not impactful to me in any way. Not stylistically and not thematically. An original score and more artistic shots could of emphasised the themes so much more. I did appreciate the occasional historical location shot, but that was a very small part of the film.
Watch the trailer, that's the whole movie (the trailer music makes the film seem more exciting and emotive that it actually is).
