I really enjoyed Avatar, but I get why it has its detractors. I can also see how watching it in a theater is a superior experience. It is a beautiful film visually with a somewhat flawed but still engaging story. It is a little heavy handed (and contradictory at times) with its message, but I can dig it overall.

This is a brilliant little British black comedy. Some of material may tout the many roles played by Alex Guinness, but this film belongs to Dennis Price. He manages to play one of the most polite and endearing sociopaths ever portrayed on screen. His performance is a delight. Also, Joan Greenwood plays Sibella as seemingly naive about her cruelty that you are almost surprised that she can be so ruthless. All in all, it is a highly enjoyable film.

I can't believe it took me until 2021 to finally sit down and watch such an acclaimed movie. It was an absolute sensory treat. There is so much great use of color, and the camera work is superb. And Amelie, the character, is brought to joyful life by Audrey Tautou. I enjoyed it from start to finish.

A slight but charming little film. The main character is so endearing that it is easy to ignore the large amount of implausible things happening. But there is also a sense of realism as well at times. It is an enjoyable flick if you are looking for a relatively breezy two hours in 1950s London and Paris.
