This film moves with the propulsion and experimentation of the 60s beat generation counterculture.

A worthy “New York” movie that hides the bleak and profound damage under a constantly riveting sheen of neon lights, blazing freeways, cozy eateries and shabby coffee stops.

Chalamet absolutely nails this role. Performances all-round were impeccable and transporting. Many of them were emotive and all seemed sincere - Mangold admirably doesn’t fail to allow Dylan’s early discography flourish and breathe in this film. The makeup crew did an excellent job both with impressively real violence…

A hot mess of a biocpic, with a star shining bright as The King.

Luhrmann's style is the most noticeable element in this film. Untameable, the editing flicks us around an untidy narrative with little to no sense of consistency or direction. Almost nauseating in its lack of control, only some montages manage to strike a landing from this whirlwind.

To add to this, the script is not up to scratch. Pace is uncomfortably loose, exposition is dropped with no…
