Sound of Metal 2019
Brilliant premise and movie. The film feels like such a great and artistic depiction of a struggle that feels so profoundly real. This was the kind of movie that makes you think: "What would I do in this kind of situation?" And the answer is never that simple. Again, I love the artistic choices made in this movie; the audio design was terrific. I also loved that the movie treated us as adults - having strong continuity and symbolism not through explicit dialogue but by just expecting the audience to pay attention.
