Dream Scenario 2023
Nic Cage just cajun around I guess. All of the pieces were done well, but there wasn’t much of a point. The story itself falls flat beyond the premise, which is certainly original. But much like the 2016 Seth Rogan staple, “Sausage Party,” this weirdly funny recurring joke sputters out.
I go back and forth on removing a star because I saw “truck production assistant” in the credits. I don’t like using PAs for unionized jobs and then further not paying them the true value of their labor. But what do I know.

So I got it. But the line between infant mental capacity / adult physical capacity was too inconsistent for me to appreciate what was trying to be said here. Perhaps touted as a feminist film for its portrayal of female masturbation, this film allows the male-gaze to hang overhead under the disguise of irony.
