  david fincher meets martin scorsese.

  hoon-jung's promising gangster movie isn't your typical one that dives into corruption, justice and a troubled hero in the middle of it. it exceeds all expectations and makes you wonder what's coming next with incredible well fleshed out characters and typical situations that are dealt with in ways you don't really see in such movies, with multiple twists that in the grand scheme of things do the genre of 'crime' justice.

  past lives makes you wonder if the saying "right person, wrong time" is actually true. but as the movie gets deeper and opens up more of Noa and Hae's relationship, it only tells that you could be the right person every single time, but some things are not meant to be as much as they are craved. it's like a piece missing and you keep trying to find it, and you keep trying and trying, until you give up and accept the situation, ultimately moving on. there is no wrong time, perhaps there is just a wrong lifetime.
