Sadly, it seems as if modern blockbusters have lost the sense of good pacing… they really added an extra hour and a half to the original first act. Man, so long… a real pity, as acting, scenery, music and costumes were so good. Also, there’s a big amount of Easter eggs for the so called “musical fans” (who are these Disney adults but for musicals) that won’t survive as decades go by. Difficult to make a cult classic nowadays… I’m not upset with this movie, as I enjoyed it, but with the industry as a whole. I can’t with cgi animals.
