Wicked 2024
As someone who doesn’t really like musicals, this was a fantastic movie. Ariana Grande was such a good comedy relief and played Glinda (Galinda?) really well. Does it look like an MCU movie? At points but the musical numbers take away from the dare-I-say bland CGI. Cynthia Erivo really made me feel for Elphaba’s struggles and made me tear up at some points. Defying Gravity really did one on me.

Dark Skies 2013
Dark Skies is, to keep it simple, a well-crafted sci-fi movie that is as suspenseful as it is psychologically exhausting. In the same vein is Signs, this is a movie that doesn’t need to show its antagonist until necessary and I think it does a great job in building the tension of the final reveal surprisingly well.
