Charming, exuberant, and poignant. Kind of whiplash from silly and funny to serious and sad, but a great watch overall. I'm sure I'll only love it more as I rewatch it.

Real and charming, cringey and relatable. Also grrrr Vassar. I liked it but it was kind of depressing. Kind of a plaintive watch. Black and white ooooh stylistic choice way to go Noah Baumbach. I like the commentary on rich people because I see so much of that bullshit everywhere lol. Enjoyable and quirky! Greta Gerwig was very good. Sophie's actress looks like my music professor.

One of the most stunning movies I've ever seen. I spent almost the whole movie simultaneously confused yet completely enthralled. Every scene is a tangible moment, a vignette, one that draws you in. This movie terrified me as a kid but I can't imagine my life without it. Simultaneously cryptic and comforting. Visuals are so stunning, characters are unique and unpredictable, and Chihiro's character development is a great example for children who actually listen to the movie! Everything about the movie is iconic and nostalgic and feels like it will last a million years. Really good!
