A slice of 20th century occult horror that is brief enough any quibbles over quality of narrative and effects can be mostly ignored. I enjoyed the setting a lot, it was a little on the nose at times with the character stereotypes but the down on his luck protagonist was fun.

This was an incredible watch. My first Jordan Peele movie and it had me gripped from start to finish. So many haunting visuals throughout, touching on so many aspects of film that you couldn't expect it to be done and yet here it is.
Performances all round were perfect, and the audio had a perfect blend of soundtrack to diegetic sound that almost blurred into one in places.
The ending, while heroic, felt a little out of tone with the rest of the movie; but I feel like that can be completely forgiven.
