Waves 2019
Generally overhyped. The first have featured a pretty well done fall from grace for the main character, but nothing that hasn’t been done before, nothing groundbreaking. Second have of the film, in my opinion, was a hard watch. I can see one perspective in which the dichotomy of intro and conclusion is necessary to understanding the main idea: the importance of relationships, kindness, unconditional love even. But it didn’t work for me.
