Germans probably had to watch this movie like many Americans had to watch guess who’s coming to dinner to feel empathy for other in their country.
I applaud fassbinder for his ability to create empathy for Ali and Emmy in this movie but think it’s redundant for my understanding of life.
I thought this was an interesting movie in how it used railings and other structures to create prison bars in characters in the movie.
I thought emmi was sweet and Ali charming.
