One of my favorites of the year. Sobbing in the first 10 minutes. Half a star deduction for the character of Simon. This film is almost perfect without him. Such a shame. I felt like maybe they could have identified this and removed him with minimal reshoots. He wasn't essentially for the main story.
That aside, some of the most beautiful long shots in my experience of cinema. Excellent acting from the young boy Dong-Hyun. Outstanding performances from So-Young. I can't imagine the physical strain she must have put on herself to convey this level of anguish.
