  him and his dad talking about their memories, the tree—the honesty. wish I'd ever had a conversation that honest with my dad, even if so brief.

  I won't deny it was a tad heavy-handed, and the ending was expected, but don't let that turn you off this film. it makes up for that in nearly every frame. Scott delivers & Mescal absolutely brings an A game.

  As an addict in recovery and also someone who has been a caretaker for someone too sick to care about their own life, I deeply related to this film. It loses a star for the overwhelming ever-presence of Sting. So much fucking Sting. The same song by Sting, over and over. Good god.
