What to say about this film... just a big fat general what the fuck? My initial reaction was complete and utter fascination and fixation because of the extremely clever premise and messages it brings with it. However, as the film progressed, that fascination quickly turned to disgust and shock and that feeling never really went away, especially during one particular scene that i will never erase from my memory.

Dogtooth is one of those films that you have to read…

This film is so good. With lots of twists and turns, this thought provoking film keeps you engaged from start to finish with incredible acting, unique shots and camera work and simple but intelligent plot set almost entirely in one house. There was also lots of clever foreshadowing and a lot of red colour imagery hinting at the later events.

This film is such a raw and oddly engaging look into the life of the many children living in motels. The script is excellent in making the kids actions and conversations as a result of their living circumstances so realistic. It also poses many questions in the happiness of the children weighing with their living conditions and different actions of their parents. It is shot beautifully with the colour scheme really highlighting what it is like to be a child and some great acting from both the adults and children.

This film is incredible. The actors are great with Leonardo giving a particularly good performance as he does with most of his roles as well as all the other actors shining through. The plot was interesting and mind bending as is the theme with Christopher Nolan who has a particularly good eye and mind for messing with time and space, forcing you to pay your full attention and remain engaged. The set design and special effects were also amazing.
