I found so much unenjoyable about this movie that the super sick pyrotechnics and sets couldn't over come the boredom. Maybe because there was so much raw material left untouched in the world they built that the straightforward and uncreative product they created really just left me in distaste. I'd never seen it and remember it being such a meme of a disaster movie when I was a kid, it really is pretty damb bad.

Orion convinced me to see this on the grounds that it had compelling sets and practical effects and I really enjoyed the whole experience more than I thought. It’s a bad movie but I had a fun time. Things worked fine enough to get me through the unjustified 160 minutes of garbo.
But as for the sets, they were both amazing and kind of shitty looking. All the ingredients were there, the costumes in Emerald land had a wonderful Fluevog…
