Wendy is obnoxiously American at times but I do love how tough she is. Hiro steals the show though. A really lovely rom-com and so cool to see 80s Tokyo underground culture.

So unexpectedly dark, I cried. Would be 5 stars without the song that has aged so poorly and to be honest wasn't even ok then! Tim Curry's character feels pretty unnecessary at times but I guess they needed a star? The real tragedy is that Robin Johnson never did become the star she should've been. Relax, I'm from the Future 2022
I really liked this and honestly had no idea what was going to happen. I never got bored and Rhys Darby and Gabrielle Graham are really great in this. I loved the comments on nihilism and societal change. It's really interesting, hectic, whimsical and still funny. Reminds me of films I've loved recently like Sorry To Bother You and The Day Shall Come.
