jodorowsky is like nietzsche but shit poster form. his movies have the remarkable quality of making u feel dirty and offended the whole way through.
when i finish his movies i am often left wondering: is he is able to create these because he is a piece of shit? or because humanity is a piece of shit? in either case, i thoroughly enjoy watching his films.

The middle act of the movie was just ok. I thought it had petered out and lacked substantial support of its original purpose. They were times I was not sure what the film was trying to say, walking a fine line between authentic criticism and glorification.
I imagine this was intentional, so this is hardly a substantive critique as I think this was done to fit the extravagant nature of the narrative itself. But personally, I did not like this…
