Worst film I've seen in a long time. The script is awful, and that final scene between Barbara Stanwyck and Gary Cooper is so ridiculous it's almost laughable (and it's so poorly acted, I can only imagine they hated the material as much as I did). A waste of time!

A Royal Scandal 1945
Even though Otto Preminger took over from a sick Ernst Lubitsch, this film still feels more like a Lubitsch than Preminger. It was pretty funny and had me laughing out loud a few times. I had never seen Tallulah Bankhead in a film before, and she's marvellous here as the Russian Empress who takes on William Eythe as her young lover. (And it's a delight to simply hear Tallulah speak.) Charles Coburn is excellent as well as the Chancellor, and Anne Baxter and Eythe both have their moments. Nicely paced with some witty dialogue, this is a Lubitsch that deserves to be seen!

Lucky Star 1929
"Lucky Star" was considered lost until a copy of the film was discovered in the archives of the Dutch Film Museum (now called Eye Film Institute) in my hometown Amsterdam.
