I was actually pretty disappointed in this. I've loved all the M. Night Shyamalan movies I've seen so far (After Earth, Split, Glass) and I thought the premise of this film was really really interesting. But it just didn't play out well. The movie was just so unrealistic for a thriller and thats what pissed me off the most. It was such a great idea but the characters acted so irrationally it made the film annoying to watch. Got through it but definitely won't try to do that again.
The only reason it didn't get half a star is because Megan Fox is hot.
This film was a cinematic work of art. Full stop. It truly deserves a 5 star rating because its easily one of the best movies I've ever seen. But I just can't say it's perfect because of THAT one scene. The more movies I watch, the more my idea of the most scarring scene I've ever seen keeps changing, and The Brutalist holds the crown for now.
That being said, this movie has everything a great movie should: suspense, tension,…
This movie had a unique sense of humor. Different from what I usually go for but I still really enjoyed it. Thought the acting was straight and I loved the cast but their roles played into the humor so sometimes the characters were just a bit off (especially Rege-Jean Page's guy). Not the humor I normally love but it was still good.
