Chicken for Linda! 2023
The art style is loose, the songs are performed by a cast who are not phenomenal singers, and the run time is spare at under 80 minutes. These are all good things.
I wish more animation, and particularly children’s animation was like this. Simple, stylized art. Music meant to convey ideas and emotions, not meant to merely be ear worms. Tight storytelling that feels personal.

Seat 31: Zooey Zephyr 2024
Zephyr's impact as a legislator is largely put to the side to offer a more personal profile, which was certainly effective at welling up some tears out of yours truly. However, I wish this was a bit longer so they could actually examine the political repercussions of what she was able to achieve in spite of her colleagues in the Montana state legislature.
