Everything not surrounding Rey, Luke, and Kylo was boring. Rey was improved so much from the last movie. Having her be a nobody was one of the best ideas to come out of this movie. I love idea of her not having a family name to relay on and she has to build her own legacy. Luke’s arc of learning to overcome failures whether then beating himself up over them was so compelling. Shame they never completed trilogy.

It has been a while since I’ve seen this movie. I remember first seeing it with my dad during my senior year of high school. I came out really liking it. 9 years later and that sentiment is largely unchanged.
