Selena 1997
A classic I hadn't watched in at least a decade. Great music, great acting by JLo — too bad her acting career was all downhill from there. Her dad's monologue in the car about the struggles of being Mexican American, having to be twice as perfect as everyone else, is poignant and articulates something that most latinxs deeply understand but can rarely put into words. Unfortunately the end feels rushed and abrupt in a way that could've been avoided had they dedicated even 3 or 4 more minutes to developing Selena's and Yolanda's relationship on screen.

Lots of fun, lots of easter eggs and references. Some parts felt a little incomplete and shoehorned in, but there was plenty of eye candy to distract from it.
