Disclaimer 2024
Usually never put any series here but this kind of has to
It reminds me of Roy Anderssons visual style. I cannot unsee it. A beautiful camera work by Lubezki
The cast is incredible. I even like Sasha Baron Coen!
To constantly change the narrative but to end it on a women’s note. Hell yeah
And how utterly grotesque humans are.
Don’t miss this!Translated from by

Kalak 2023
It’s a pscycho analysis on the main character but with a colonial gaze. A very much unsympathetic character but even so, everyone around him seems to like him. A bit unrealistic for being a social realist film.
In the end I’m left with a very uneasy feeling, or maybe throughout the entire film… but I must must say I really liked the idea of making the father, the perpetrator, read the letter into the camera. RadicalTranslated from by -
Vortex 2021
Heartbreaking and heartwarming. This is by far the best of his films. Even if the plot is more grounded then his others, it leaves you with this sense of mind-expanding which only Gaspar Noé can do. I hope we’ll see more of this.
From the q&a with Gaspar Noé and Dario Argento:
In his own words, Dario argento claimed that Gaspar is one of our greatest directors. Gaspar cried and I felt humble, like the many others, mainly middle aged men, sitting in the cinema as we were witnessing two great directors showing their affection to one another. I will always remember this.Translated from by
