Absolutely phenomenal version of the Victor Hugo’s Novel! The actors fit their characters extremely well and each set piece was nicely represented and the compositions by Claude-Michel Schönberg were absolutely powerful to listen too. I really enjoyed each of the actors performances and it sent me back to high school listening to the original broadway soundtrack. Give it a watch. A great interpretation of a legendary musical.

The Color Purple 2023
Absolutely phenomenal story telling. I was moved from beginning. I damn near cried twice for how powerful the soundtrack was using blues and gospel as a way of elevating the story itself. Each actor felt believable and real. This made me want to relieve the 1985 film. Give it a watch, it’s powerful.
