Feel like the novelty of this is lost on a lot of people, seeing archival footage of the literal first contact of civilization for the indigenous people of New Guinea is insane. People see colonialism and slavery in the film - the Leahy's paid the villagers, yes it’s not equivalent to what an Australian would receive for the work but the payment they gave were extremely valuable to the indigenous. They weren’t there to colonize or be imperialists, they just wanted to strike it rich from gold and the indigenous were willing to work because they would receive goods and trade.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars 2008
Recording this as a part of my chronological first time viewing of the clone Wars show. If you were deciding to come back to this movie for another reason it probably won’t make a lot of sense since it picks up in the middle of a previous episode. Does the job of advancing the story and overall the Clone Wars action sequences at times do a better job than the movies

Challengers 2024
Had high expectations going into this but just couldn’t really get into it. I get the story and the manipulation/sex but it isn’t that interesting to me. I absolutely hate POV shots and some of the tennis play felt unwatchable or jumbled. Maybe I’ll try it again at some point.
Pause.
