Aight nah they kinda cooked with this one
It’s been a minute since I’ve seen this- but I gotta say it’s brilliant cinematography and lore really elevates this out of the conversation for just another generic 2010’s horror film.
I can’t speak on the rest of the franchise as I’ve only seen some of them and need to give the ones I have seen a rewatch- but this is a solid start to a horror franchise that I plan on investing more time into.

Well I’ll be damned-this is a perfect film.
Theres such a deep, selfless kindness behind everything in this film- empathy, compassion and patience acting as the guiding hand to every line of dialogue and every message.
The commentary on aging was very impactful for me, I was surprised at how few times I had seen the ‘character is aged up’ trope, and especially how rarely it’s done well. This is the first time I can recall it truly being emotionally…
