Not sure why this movie is seen as Park Chan-wook’s masterpiece. It is quite good, the kind of movie that does not bore you when you watch it, quite original for sure. But the whole plot-twist on incest is just…. Tacky ? It seems fetishized. Like many male directors include unnecessary rape scenes in their movies, and lowkey sexualize them, this is kind of the same. If you wanna see a movie with a similar plot-twist, but well done (SPOILERS), go watch Incendies by Denis Villeneuve.
