    I found this movie so absolutely precious. It’s such an optimistic portrait of America, the kind my grandparents fought into existence through sheer will. 

    There are streets where they filmed that I recognize now, signs still exactly the same. It reminds me of so many places back home that I love.

    Honestly a tough watch. Such good performances, a stellar premise. Loved R Pat. But I really feel like this fell apart in the edit. So many interesting ideas that just never pulled together. 

    The film felt unwieldy in a way that I don’t expect from Bong. Felt like such a lack of direction and control. Wish I liked it more than I did.
