  One of the my favorite movies ever made. Haven’t seen this in a theater since 2018 but it is a truly special experience. Was bummed there was a technical issue that stopped the film in the middle of the Rahad Jackson scene because I had been waiting since January of 2018 to be able to experience the thrill of that scene in a theater again. Even with the technical difficulties this is a lights out scene.

  This is a really good movie. Part of why I couldn’t fully see that is the festival hype around this movie had me mixed up. This is not Uncut Gems and Sean Baker is not trying to make an edge-of-your-seat thriller. This movie does not work as a thriller.   The most thrilling thing I’ve seen in a theater all year aside from the cops shutting down my showing of Blockers. Everyone needs to see this movie when it opens near them.

  The screening was a Q&A with Blake Jenner and the real guy he plays which was fascinating. I also got to tell Blake Jenner how much I love Everybody Wants Some!!
