Atonement 2007
I love this movie so much. Rewatch for me but still equally as good. This movie is so gut-wrenchingly beautiful (cinematically and the plot line). I’m a sucker for a ww2 movie, and I love how Atonement switches POVs between the two sisters to demonstrate the concept of an unreliable narrator.

This was SUCH a good movie. Sean Baker’s direction and eye for specific imagery was such a good addition, and half of the time I was dying laughing over such subtle plot jokes (like one of the bodyguards subtly being off a perc the whole movie). Anora’s character development from hiding behind what she knows (sex) to finally breaking down in Igor’s arms was a really good way to demonstrate how the pain and hurt she’s endured have all finally…
