    Wind River is a solid, hard-hitting mystery drama set in a harsh, snowy Wyoming.

    Well delivered by Renner, Olsen and the supporting cast, while the tone is absolutely spot on.

    For the first 80% of the movie, the narrative flows well enough to keep the intrigue piqued, as the viewer follows hunter Cory (Renner) and FBI agent Jane (Olsen) deeper into a mystery surrounding the events that led a young girl fleeing to a freezing death.

    Hard to make a completely educated review on this one as I admittedly know little about the title character's origins and links to the Spiderman canon.

    Whilst it boasts a few laugh-out-loud moments and Hardy reliably nailing the anti-hero role perfectly, Venom is yet another fun-but-passable comic book entry with weak motives, conflicting tones and an antagonist pulled straight from the Ultron/Apocalypse pool of forgettable villainy.

    It also felt like 99% of the movie was purely an exercise in exposition. I'm all for 100 minutes of build-up with a quick burst of action at the end, just not when it comes to movies.

    Very much a surface-level celebration of Queen and their iconic frontman. Those expecting to be taken beyond the charismatic side of Mercury and into the enigmatic will sadly be disappointed.
