Very charming and beautifully stylised and written but felt slightly hollow and lacking that extra layer of oomph to make it a home run. Basically was a character study of Bennie (KM) and should’ve defo been told from his perspective rather than David (JE). What to rewatch! It’s such a pretty and warm film!

Good Grief 2023
Literally put this on to do my crosswords before bed but ended up GRIPPED by this. This was a very nice exploration of the relationship between art and grief and anger, and interesting discussion surrounding queerness, monogamy, and secrets. A bit under written and needing more cuts here and there but overall a great watch. Love that it’s set in London and in Paris! Impressive cast yet somehow felt it was missing some extra sparkle. Good Grief is on my mind!
