God I loved this movie. Its inspiration from Dorian Gray and Jekyll and Hyde works perfectly for the movie’s over all plot. The body horror was phenomenal and the fact that it was mostly practical makes me so happy. That being said, I do wish there were some more “personal” moments. Similar to the scene where Demi Moore kept putting on makeup for a date she never goes on. It was such a clearly personal moment and I would have loved to see more scenes like that. So much love and craft was put into this movie and it shows through every aspect.

This movie not only sucks, but it cuts out half of the book and completely skims all development any of the characters got. Thank god I read the book first because this movie does no service to it. The only good part of this was how bad it was and the set/costume design. Like I love how they gave the Harkonnen codpieces. How anyone can watch this movie sober is beyond
