nothing can ever prepare you for the masterpiece of comfort that is Ratatouille. people often tend to see sentimentality and nostalgia tied to reviews as something to look down on because it is no longer objective and unbiased. but what even is truly objective? i love ratattooille. its a true masterpiece because it has everything one needs from a good film : the technical stuff - beautiful animation, voice acting, dialogue writing, pacing, plotline that's easy to follow for kids…

Parasite 2019
a movie that sort of insists upon itself a bit, but not a bad watch. at the time, when korean filmography was largely underestimated or overlooked upon, Parasite did to a good job breaking through that barrier. i honestly liked it so much at the time but writing this now at the present (2024) it's not actually all that much better than other korean works i have had the pleasure of following. a social message, plot twist and everything. just a general above average good watch. might revisist this whenever i rewatch so i can give a more detailed, fresh review
