The Notebook 2004
watched this with my ex when we recently broke up, i bawled on his chest. i can’t ever watch this movie the same way. but this film is a masterpiece and left me with a somber/conflicting feeling by the end of the movie

Black Swan 2010
whilst it’s an “overrated” movie, the beginning, the middle and the end of the movie builds for the right tension. there’s no doubt that the ending to the black swan has to be one of the most beautifully cinematic pieces that i’ve watched as the ending was caused by something nina originally had a lot of ambition towards. this film demonstrates someone’s own self-corruption and a woman’s descent into madness, seeing herself as two beings, the white and black swan.
