  Mikey Madison is electric in this, no notes for her. I clack my heels to you, ma’am! Though I really don’t know who Anora is or what she wants, overall Madison’s performance made me care. Not sure why I’m supposed to be laughing about the rapey bits though…?

  Made Max see this at Alamo with me and he does not agree that it’s an iconic LA film. But he’s from Glendale so let’s pay him no mind. 

  I love this stupid movie. So many good one liners. Every monologue Harry Dean Stanton delivers I want stamped into my brain for whenever I need it. The visual language of this film is so rewarding to the viewer — the generic brand everything, the “plate o shrimp” sign, the streetscapes, the RADIOACTIVE CAR!!! It doesn’t get much better than this shit.
