Dìdi (弟弟) 2024
a very heartfelt coming of age film with great storytelling. i really enjoyed the emotional depth izaac wang was able to portray. it showcases the complexity of growing up within a family. as someone born in the late 90’s and grew up in 00’s, it had a very realistic portrayal of the early 2000’s. it had a good balance of myspace/ aol but also making time to hang outside with your friends to mess around. finally someone got it right! it is the perfect encapsulation of everything happening during that era.
