rewatched for the first time today and it made me truly appreciate it so much more once again. The performances, the cinematography, the sound design, the erotic uncomfortable horrific interactions between these characters. the cruelty that orlok is capable of and how it’s almost something you can overlook while getting wrapped up in this twisted romantic horror, aaron taylor johnson’s performance is severely underrated and anna harding complimented him perfectly, but absolutely everyone killed it. a film that was extremely well thought out, casted and executed lovingly in honour of its original material, it is truly a masterpiece of our time.
