  I wanted to like this film more than I did. Had some standout cinematography, costume/set design, and good performances all around. However, the film was just not compelling enough to move as slowly as it did.

  Second time watching, had a lower opinion when I first watched it (in 2020.)

  Upon rewatching, this movie is a Good Time. Does it make sense all of the time? No. Does it require you to just vibe? Undoubtedly. But when you do, this movie fucks.

  It feels like only Wes Anderson truly understands what this film is trying to say. Lot of little good nuggets, but didn't land the punch I was hoping for.

  All the little Wes Anderson idiosyncrasies were great; there is such a whimsicality to this film that makes me happy. Performances were great.
