i literally have been meaning to watch this for years as its held in such high regard by every movie snob ever, and unfortunately, it did not disappoint.
Such an intrinsic movie. The colors are stunning and Wes Anderson’s static cinematography is ever charming. I still think fantastic mr fox takes the cake for my personal favorite wes film, but I'm not gonna lie this movie has far better pacing and had an objectively more interesting plot. theres alot more i could say but like its a wes anderson movie its lit.

this movie is really fun. i like the dialogue, feels like some sort or high school play. really, the whole thing feels like a school film project, in a sort of charming, scuffed, way. i can only imagine how it felt watching this in the 90s. also appreciate the random social and political commentary. balanced out with 100000 sex jokes. almost feels like early youtube stuff.
